Akhmim – Berlin
a film by Sebastian Eschenbach
How is the ancient Egyptian town of Akhmim connected to modern day Berlin? The documentary film “Akhmim – Berlin” investigates the multiple relationships between the two places, the people, their histories, the artifacts.
The film is a plea for a new form of globalisation within our minds. It formed part of the 2021 exhibition “Akhmim – Egypt’s Forgotten City” at the Ägyptisches Museum und Papyrussammlung, Berlin.
